Earthquake Geologist, Phd.

Postdoc research fellow at the University “G. D’Annunzio” of Chieti.

Graduated with honors in Geological Sciences and Technology in April 2018, In July 2023 he defended a PhD thesis on the characterization of normal faults for probabilistic fault displacement hazard analysis of strategic infrastructures. Since then, he has mainly dealt with fault characterization, field mapping and paleoseismology, becoming an expert of earthquake geology and fault displacement hazard analysis. 

He took part to the post-earthquakes survey of coseismic effects immediately after the 2016 central Italy and the 2020 Petrjnia (Croatia) earthquakes.

He has active collaborations both in Italy and Europe and he is author and co-author of scientific articles dealing with earthquake geology and fault displacement hazard analysis in national and international scientific journals (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Alessio-Testa).
