Bruno Pace

Responsible for seismic hazard and fault displacement hazard modelling

Biography

Associate professor of seismology and seismic hazard and risk at University “G. D’Annunzio” of Chieti.

Graduated with honors in Geological Sciences in 1998, in 2001 he defended a PhD thesis in seismotectonics and seismic hazard. Since then, he has mainly dealt with seismic hazard, seismotectonics and earthquake geology, becoming an expert in the formulation of seismic hazard models, which integrate seismological, geological and geophysical data.

From 2012 to 2014 he was a member of the Program Committee for Seismological Themes of the DPC-INGV projects. From 2015 to 2019 he was coordinator of the “Seismicity Models” table within the MPS19 project for the new seismic hazard model of Italy.

He is the founder and member of the Executive Committee of the international research group Fault2SHA (fault2sha.net) which deals with seismic hazard. Since 2023 he is the project coordinator of the MSCA-DN project TREAD (tread-horizon.eu).

He has published over 60 articles in international scientific journals (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/B-Pace-2).
